No idea of the context here (perhaps someone could fill us in? *hint hint*) but here’s Pep Guardiola giving Thiago a bit of a slap across the face during/after Bayern’s German Super Cup defeat to Dortmund last night , all captured in glorious super slow mo…

Looks fairly serious given the manic look on Pep’s face and the non-playful firmness of the slap.

Did Thiago commit the cardinal sin: did he tiki but forget to taka?

It was in the middle of the second half in the supercup. Bayern were already down 3-1 against dortmund and thiago lost quite a few balls in midfield. This game was certainly the worst thiago played for bayern in pre-season. (Still, he did a lot of things very well)

slapping players? so that’s why he left barca… i can just imagine in the dressing room, carlos puyol’s had enough of being slapped, and a scuffle breaking out with sergio busquets and pinto running over to break it up. even though Pinto wasn’t even playing, obviously

“Moyes wouldn’t slap me, fuck sake…”

Nothing ‘manic’ about it – during a match, that is Pep’s happy face.

Nah, Moyes wouldn’t slap him… he’d punch him!

A little wake up slap, he didn’t. Can be the first to raise a glass to Ken Bates being sacked. Well done Leeds.
