Swansea may have well and truly battered them on the night, but it was visitors Petrolul Ploiesti who chalked up the goal of the night at the Liberty Stadium when the Romanian sides brightest young star Gheorghe Grozav notched an astounding consolation goal three minutes from time with his side already dead and buried…

Wow. Nicely done young man. Shouldn’t be long until young Grozav gets himself scouted if he continues pulling that kind of thing out of the bag.

While we’re on the subject of impressive Europa League Qualifier goals, you could do worse than have a butcher’s at Danny Rose’s crisply struck effort, Tottenham’s fourth in their 5-0 routing of Dinamo Tbilisi…

That should induce some nasty flashbacks for Arsenal fans.

Just fitting when you consider that Grozav translated in English means ‘great’ :D

  2. Me says:

Spot on. Grozav means great, but I can assure you he’s not designed for big leagues, he’s good for the Romanian league and that’s all.
