Last night’s star-studded Brazilian Serie B game between Atletico GO and Oeste FC saw John Lennon score the fourth in a 4-0 victory, with the assist provided by none other than Michael Jackson…

Stick it in the (glass) onion bag!

If you’re wondering what the hell we’re going on about, allow us to explain: the goalscorer is actually legally called John Lennon Silva Santos (presumably his parents were big Beatles fans) while the cross was provided by  Carlos Adriano de Souza Cruz, who usually goes by his Brazilian nickname, “Michael Jackson”.

Just to add to the madness, the pair only joined Atletico GO in the summer, along with a third stellar signing – 21-year-old midfielder Mahatma Gandhi.

This is a true fact.
