Football GIF: Cristiano Ronaldo Salutes Sepp Blatter With ‘Commander’ Goal Celebration vs Sevilla

Despite the away side managing to score not once, not twice, but thrice at the Bernabeu, Real Madrid still managed to trounce Sevilla last night, sticking seven goals past their guests with Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema grabbing a brace a-piece and Cristiano Ronaldo going one further to nab a hat-trick – the first goal of which he celebrated with a non-too-subtle nod to Sepp Blatter, with whom he has, as the urban youths of today would have it, “beef“…

As well as racking up two goals and two assists in his first full league start for Real, Mr Bale also rediscovered his diving touch, collapsing beautifully in the box in a vain attempt to con a penalty in the second half…

Lovely. Textbook stuff.

It’s also worth mentioning that, as well as having a man sent off for brushing Luka Modric’s hair (QPR loanee Stephane M’Bia), Sevilla also scored what was perhaps the goal of the evening, with Ivan Rakitic’s second of the night definitely rivalling any of Madrid’s seven efforts in the golazo stakes…

  1. Inno says:

Was Ronaldo being his usual eejit of a man when he took the penalty, instead of letting Bale get a shot at a hat trick? Sorry, rhetoric question

  2. AC says:

Apparently when Ronaldo re-signed after Bale was bought, he had a clause put in that says Bale shall never score a hat-trick. If he does, the 3rd goal is to be recorded as belonging to Ronaldo.

  3. Jarren says:

Wow carla, most of those designs are truly awful.

    But whatever floats boats.

  4. Hootie says:

Good on Ronaldo, showing up that twatbox Blatter. The Messi comparisons are unfair and he’s really matured out of most of the diving and petulant stuff. All the rhetoric takes away from the fact that one of the best players ever to strap on boots is in his absolute prime and producing magnificent stuff on a weekly basis.
