Cardiff City 2-1 Norwich City – Premier League – 1st February 2014

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Cardiff City v Norwich City - Cardiff City Stadium

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer picked up his first points as Cardiff boss as his side came from behind to beat Norwich in Wales. Robert Snodgrass had given the Canaries an early lead, but the Bluebirds fought back and early second half goals from Craig Bellamy and new-signing Kenwyne Jones secured a vital win for the home side. Bellamy’s goal also saw the veteran hitman become the first player in Premier League history to score for seven different clubs, quite an impressive feat! Overall, the Canaries probably deserved to get something out of the game, but that poor start to the second period proved decisive in the end. The result sees Cardiff off the bottom the table while Chris Hughton’s men are just two points clear of danger.
