This weekend’s football global programme was littered (in some cases, quite literally) with dog-related encroachment disorders, with several games across several continents interrupted by canine interlopers.
First of all, kick-off at Crewe’s game against Brentford in League One had to be momentarily delayed after the pitch was invaded by Diefenbaker from Due South – which put the willies right up Mathias Pogba…
We then skip over to the Brazilian Paraense league match for the top-of-the-table clash between Paysandu and Remo, which had to be halted for several minutes when a dog charged onto the swampy pitch and single-handedly broke up a Remo attack…
And then, just to cap off a superb weekend’s display by his species, another dog invasion took place during Rosario Central’s game against River Plate – with our hound protagonist going as far as to impudently pinch off a dog egg in the middle of the six-yard box…
Lovely.
