During the course of yesterday’s 0-1 victory over Norwich City, West Brom centre-back Gareth McAuley lumped a clearance into the stands which not only landed in the press gantry at Carrow Road – it also, in a display of pinpoint accuracy not seen since Stiliyan Petrov hit Robbie Savage in the face, completely decimated one of his own club’s laptops…

During the post-match interviews, the Baggies’ media team cornered and confronted McAuley with the battered husk of the laptop he’d decimated – only for the defender to apologise reservedly and offer to pay for the funeral/replacement…
Oh, and Chris Hughton was sacked too.
