‘Good Energy’: Spain’s Official 2014 World Cup Song Features Xavi On Drums (Video)

Spain have released their official World Cup anthem for 2014, a song called “Buena Energia” (Good Energy) by a band called ‘Maldita Nerea’ who, for all intents and purposes, appear to be the Spanish equivalent of post-Patience-era Take That.

Aside from the beginning of the video looking like an advert for a dating site for 30+ gay professionals, it also features cameos from several of the Spain squad who will presumably heading out to Brazil – with Xavi displaying some fine drum chops, Diego Costa banging away manfully on ‘dem bongos and Cesar Azpilicueta absolutely tearing it up on the jazz tambourine…

It’s got ‘hit’ written all over it!
