As far as we know, Stuttgart captain Christian Gentner has no medical training per se, neither is he likely to be the designated first-aider at Hannover’s stadium, but that didn’t stop the midfielder from being first on hand when team-mate Martin Harnik popped his shoulder after an aerial encounter-gone-awry during the game between the two sides this weekend.
With Harnik in obvious and visible pain after the collision, Gentner marched over and attempted to relocate the Austrian striker’s shoulder with a some kind of strange, side-on Heimlich Manoeuvre, only to make the situation several times worse…
