Spain Soccer Europa League

Despite losing fairly heavily on the night, Sevilla’s 2-0 victory in the first leg ensured that Stephane Mbia’s 95th-minute header was enough to see the Spaniards through to the Europa League Final in Turin on away goals (the club’s first appearance in the final since winning the competition twice back-to-back in 2005/06 and 2006/07), where Benfica lie in wait.

Having cancelled out Sevilla’s first-leg lead inside 25 minutes, Valencia then went on to find themselves 3-0 up (i.e, 3-2 up on aggregate) with 20 minutes of the second leg left to play until QPR loanee Mbia headed home Federico Fazio’s flick-on to complete the dramatic comeback and spark wild celebrations (Daniel Carrico looked positively demented) at the final whistle.
