Hats off to Colorado Rapids ‘keeper Joe Nasco, who last night sealed his immortality in the quickest and easiest way possible – by becoming the proud owner of the all-time MLS record for the fastest ever sending-off by taking less than a minute to get himself ejected from Friday evening’s game against LA Galaxy.

With a mere 34 SECONDS of the game elapsed, Nasco brought down Galaxy striker Alan Gordon in front of a gaping net to earn the fastest red card in league history – eclipsing the previous record set by former New York Red Bulls defender Carlos Johnson, who took a whole two minutes to receive his marching orders against Kansas City Wizards in 2009.

The fun begins at the 0:50 mark…

For the record, Nasco was dismissed, Landon Donovan dispatched the penalty and Galaxy went on to spank the Rapids 6-0.

Not a good night at the office for our heroic protagonist!
