This clash at the Hawthorns was a right game of two halves, with the Eagles bossing the first 45 before the Baggies fought back after the break.

The hosts struggled to click in the first-half and were 2-0 down by the break, courtesy of goals from Brede Hangeland and Mile Jedinak (via a spot-kick). However, the introduction of Victor Anichebe at the break gave West Brom a much-needed bit of extra power up front. The former Everton man headed home on 51 minutes to get his side back into the game and the substitution of ‘keeper Julian Speroni (after a head injury) added to Palace’s problems.

Boosted by the goal, Alan Irvine’s men pushed for an equaliser, with Graham Dorrans and Craig Gardner going close. However, the goal eventually came for the hosts, after Anichebe had been fouled in the box by Palace captain Jedinak. In-form hitman Saido Berahino converted the resulting penalty to give his side a deserved share of the spoils.

The Baggies go 12th while Palace go 15th.
