Queens Park Rangers 1-1 Swansea City – Premier League – 1st January 2015

QPR missed a great chance to secure a vital three points at Loftus Road on Thursday, with a late Wilfried Bony goal securing a share of the points for visitors Swansea.

The Hoops were lucky not to have ‘keeper Rob Green sent off early for handling the ball outside the box, but on 20 minutes, Harry Redknapp’s men took the lead courtesy of a fine strike from Leroy Fer. The hosts then had chances to build on that lead, with Bobby Zamora and Charlie Austin going close. The sending off of Wayne Routledge for reacting to a Karl henry challenge should have made things easier for QPR. However, sub Bony, in his last game before he heads off for the Africa Cup of Nations, popped up to fire home a late, late equaliser for the Swans.

The Hoops go 16th, two points above the drop-zone while the Swans are ninth.
