Granted, on the sliding scale of “going Cantona” this is down around the lower end, but still – last night’s Ryman Premier Division game between Kingstonian and Bognor Regis ended in chaotic scenes and the police being called to Kingsmeadow after Kingstonian ‘keeper Rob Tolfrey got himself involved in a scuffle with the fans – his own fans – stationed behind his goal following the final whistle.

Obviously aggrieved at something said to him during the game, Tolfrey vaulted over the advertising boards and proceeded to tussle with a number of Kingstonian supporters, which sparked a mass skirmish that ended with somebody calling the rozzers and another mini-fight erupting in the tunnel thereafter…

It’s yet to be confirmed, but it’s been alleged on Twitter that the Kingstonian fans were aiming “anti-Butlins” chants at their Bognor Regis counterparts all night.

If that was indeed the case then it’s little wonder tensions were running so high inside the ground.

I love the fact that none of the fans nearby seem to give the slightest shit!
