Sevilla winger Vitolo didn’t hang about in his efforts to make history in the Europa League last night, taking precisely 13.21 seconds to score the competition’s fastest ever goal – the opener in his side’s 3-1 victory over Villarreal…

Vitolo’s lightning fast goal beats the previous record set by AEK’s Ismael Blanco, who took 15.19 seconds to find the back of the net against BATE Borisov in the Europa League’s inaugural season in 2009.
