During Saturday’s Serie A clash between champions Juventus and fourth-placed Napoli, Uruguayan defender Miguel Britos was sent off for an awful head-butt on Alvaro Morata.
This wasn’t a case of two players squaring up to each other or of a minor nudge of a player’s head against his opponent, this was a proper case of planting the nut (as Danny Dyer might say), with Morata left with a bloodied nose. An appalling act which rightly got Britos sent off as Juve went on to win 3-1.
