Let’s face it, seeing a player getting carried away on a wave of endorphins after scoring a goal (and usually thrashing the living daylights out of various bits of pitchside paraphernalia) is hardly a rare occurrence in football.
However, FC Slutsk midfielder Sergey Levitskiy used his post-goal chemical surge for good after bagging a goal in his unfortunately-named side’s 4-0 tonking of FC Neman at the weekend.
After prodding the fourth and final goal home in the 88th minute, Levitskiy went yomping over to the bench, picked up a ring from his willing accomplice and then proposed to his girlfriend who was situated in the front row of the crowd.
