Leicester City are no strangers to racism controversy, are they?

Only a couple of months ago the club sacked three of their players, including the then manager’s son James Pearson, after they were involved in making a racist sex tape during a club tour of Thailand.

“Of course I’m not racist. Some of my best team-mates are Japanese”

Well, now striker Jamie Vardy has been fined by the Foxes following the release of a video by The Sun on Sunday which allegedly showed the 28-year racially abusing a Japanese man in a casino in July.

Here’s the pathetic and embarrassing video in question…

However, after investigating the tape, the club have decided not to sack the player but instead sanction him with an apparently hefty fine.

Here’s the official statement as it appears on the club website…

New Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri added his thoughts, highlighting Vardy’s rapport with Japanese striker Shinji Okazaki. The Italian said:

Jamie has apologised and for me it is OK. There’s a good relationship between Jamie and Shinji. We go only forward.

Vardy, who made his England debut last season, can count himself lucky he’s still on Leicester’s books.  And one wonders just how hard that “substantial fine” and obligatory racism awareness programme will really hit him or teach him to grow up.

So a cunty player tends to do cunty things whilst off the pitch. Who’d have thunk it?

  2. Mr. Jameson says:

Vardy clearly see that the (Japanese) man is casino staff and is dawdling withe a tray of drinks enroute to other customers.

All will become clear once the other camera’s videos are released.

I applaud Mr. Vardy for advocating for those of us who refuse to tolerate poor bar service.

  3. JohnTerry says:

The man out of camera shot is trying to remember a chant he had heard whilst watching Liverpool play. Vardy was actually saying “oi chap”, and then helpfully giving him the lyrics.

All will become clear once the other camera’s videos are released.

I applaud Mr. Vardy for helping people to remember song lyrics.

  4. This thread is excellent says:

There was, just out of camera, a boxing match going on in the casino. He was saying ‘Oi Jab!’ because he bet on someone who wasn’t using his jab enough.

All will become clear once the other camera’s videos are released.

I applaud Mr. Vardy for being enthusiastic about sport, on and off the pitch.
