As well as losing 2-1 at home to Lazio on Sunday evening, Inter Milan were also forced to contend with the sending-off of Felipe Melo in the dying moments of the match when the hot-headed Brazilian’s infamous temper once again got the better of him.
With the ball hovering up around Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia’s head, Melo went storming in with his studs ridiculously high and managed to plant a stamp on the side of his opponent’s neck.
Unsurprisingly, the referee didn’t take too kindly to Melo’s kung-fu lunge, and promptly brandished the red card…
“He has to have a word with himself!” @Inter‘s @_felipemelo_ sees red for shockingly catching opponent in the neck! https://t.co/zYGc5ic9W5

Appalling, but sadly not remotely out of character as far as Melo is concerned. The man’s a liability.
