As Ronaldinho continues to gad about hither and thither on his extended semi-retirement tour, the circus rolled in to Guayaquil on Friday evening – the 35-year-old star having signed up to make a one-off appearance for Ecuadorian top flight side Barcelona in a friendly against Argentinian opponents San Martin.
The Brazilian veteran lasted almost 80 minutes, providing an assist in a 4-3 win for Barcelona before bowing out to a standing ovation from the legions of fans in the stadium.
However, it was the referee who ended up stealing the show, capitalising on a momentary break in the play to ask Ronaldinho to sign his yellow card…
