Leicester City moved a step closer to a wonderfully unexpected Premier League title after beating Sunderland 2-0 on Sunday. The result saw the Foxes temporarily go 10 points clear at the top of the table (now seven points after Spurs beat Man Utd), and with the dream now almost a reality, Foxes’ boss Claudio Ranieri became quite emotional.

A second-half Jamie Vardy brace won the game for Leicester at the Stadium of Light and at the full-time whistle, an emotional Ranieri couldn’t hold back the tears of joy…

It couldn’t happen to a more affable man!

As for Sam Allardyce and co., they find themselves in 18th spot, four points away from safety.

I’d wager that when he took the Leicester job he was certain that the best days of his career were behind him.

And what greats days he has had.

But surely he could never have predicted this.

Should Leicester win the PL, it will become legendary. It will remain massive for decades. And Ranieri will be mentioned as the overseer of it.

Not a bad career move! All the best to him & the fantastic Leicester team.
