Well into the autumn of his incredible career, Roma’s one-club legend Francesco Totti rolled back the years on Wednesday night to help the Champions League-chasing side to a precious 3-2 win against Torino.

The Giallorossi were a goal down when, on 86 minutes, their iconic star made a rather incredible cameo appearance. With his first touch of the game, the 39-year-old had drawn his side level via a deft far-post finish.

Then, at the death, Totti converted a spot-kick to win the game for the hosts and send both fans and team-mates wild…

Reported to be heading for a well-deserved swansong across the water with New York Cosmos, Totti’s dramatic brace on Wednesday night may well be his last goals for his beloved Roma, but what a legacy the ‘Eternal Captain’ will leave behind.
