Oh how fickle football fans can be! On BBC 5 Live on Saturday evening, one Leicester phoned in to suggest that the Foxes should get rid of title-winning manager Claudio Ranieri and bring back none other than Nigel Pearson. Not surprisingly, co-host Robbie Savage was less than impressed.
The call came after Leicester’s poor season continued, this time courtesy of a disappointing 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough…
“Sack Ranieri and replace him with Pearson?!?” – @robbiesavage8 can’t believe what he’s hearing from this #LCFC fan! https://t.co/rpcKXkxSkm

The Foxes currently find themselves 13th in the table, with just 13 points from their first 13 games. However, after their incredible title-winning campaign in 2016/17, surely Ranieri deserves a bit of leeway. And with Leicester cruising into the knockout stages of the Champions League, the caller’s claims are all the more ridiculous.
However, anything that riles rent-a-gob Savage is good by us, so well done ‘Sean’!!
