Linked with a move back to the Premier League this week, Mario Balotelli was once again grabbing the headlines during Nice’s goalless draw with Bordeaux on Wednesday evening.

The former Liverpool man picked up his second red card of the season after kicking out at an opponent late in the game.

The incident occurred in the 91st minute, with Balotelli booting Igor Lewczuk after the Bordeaux defender outmuscled him in the middle of the pitch.

The 26-year-old Balotelli was immediately dismissed for the challenge but one Nice fan reaped the benefits of the incident when the Italian handed over his shirt before going down the tunnel…

Nice went down to nine men soon after when Younes Belhanda also saw red for a retaliation.

The result sees second-place Monaco, who beat Caen 2-1, move to within two points Lucien Favre’s league-leaders, with PSG five points off the top.

Balotelli, meanwhile, has now either scored, been cautioned or been sent off in every single game he’s played for Nice so far.
