Keylor Navas had a rather interesting game for Real Madrid against Real Betis on Sunday, with the Costa Rican ‘keeper making one of the biggest goalkeeping howlers of the season before, later on, pulling off a mganificent save.

Home side Real went behind on 25 minutes after some horrific goalkeeper from Navas.

After struggling to deal with a routine Antonio Sanabria long-range effort, the goalkeeper let the ball squirm under him before ultimately prodding the ball over the line…

What an incredible howler!

However, Navas was lucky even to be on the pitch at the stage, having somehow dodged a red card for this last-man challenge just minutes earlier…

Just before the break, Cristiano Ronaldo headed home to level the scores but the game looked to be heading for a draw until the 78th minutes, when Cristiano Piccini picked up a second yellow for the visitors.

Sergio Ramos then once again proved to be the match-winner, with the free-scoring defender heading home from a corner (once again).

However, Betis almost scored again at the death, only for Navas to somewhat redeem himself with a cracking save from Sanabria.

That was quite the 90 minutes from Navas although one wonders if he’ll be Zinedine Zidane’s first-choice come the start of next season.

Madrid go two points clear of second-placed Barcelona, with Los Merengues still having a game in hand.

Betis, after an impressive display at the Bernabeu, stay 14th.
