Not surprisingly, Celtic eased into the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals after a 5-0 mauling of Kilmarnock on Tuesday night.

The goals came from Leigh Griffiths (with a brace), Anthony Ralston, Kieran Tierney and Stuart Armstrong. However, it was Tierney’s which really lit up Celtic Park.

On 65 minutes, and with the Hoops already 3-0 up, captain for the night Tierney picked up the ball well inside his own-half before unleashing a ferocious long-range left-footed piledriver which sailed into the back of the Killie net…

What a stunner! Although Tierney was given far too much time to set himself up.

It looks like being yet another dominant season for Brendan Rodgers and co. north of the border in 2017/18.

Tierney might just be the best player to come out of Scotland in years. That captain’s armband suits him well…

Scottish football is like fifa 17 on easy mode. Not a really sport.
