Despite dominating for much of the game, Coventry City’s current inability to score goals ended up costing them again as they lost 1-0 to Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday night.
The Sky Blues created the bulk of the chances on the night, but eventually slumped to a second successive defeat which saw their goalless streak extend beyond the 350-minute mark.
Indeed, the profligacy on display all proved too much for one Coventry fan, who, incensed by Rovers’ time-wasting in the final seconds, came clambering down from his seat in the last few minutes and decided to try and dispossess Christian Doidge himself before taking the opportunity to berate his listless side…
Having fired off a few choice words in the direction of winger Marc McNulty, the interloper was then forcibly shoved off the pitch by Coventry captain Michael Doyle without a single match steward showing up on the scene.
What if he had a knife? Heck, what if he had an anti-tank bazooka?
Doesn’t bear thinking about, does it?
