Cologne are having a rotten old time of it in the Bundesliga so far this season, currently squatting rock bottom in the table with just two points from their first nine games.

Scoring goals has proved to be a rather significant issue, with Cologne mustering just three goals of their own while shipping 17 at the other end.

Sunday afternoon saw second-bottom Werder Bremen (who, again, have just three goals to their name) drop in on the RheinEnergieStadion and, would you believe it, the two sides played out a goalless draw.

However, the home side were presented with a truly glorious chance to steal all three points in the 86th minute when a low cross found Sehrou Guirassy unmarked in the middle, on his lonesome just three yards out from the untended Bremen net.

Alas, it was not to be, with the French striker somehow managing to squonk the ball wide of the left-hand post..

That was it. That was the chance… and Guirassy absolutely bloody obliterated it.

Unfortunately, his glaring miss went down about as well as you might expect with the unsympathetic Cologne fans…

Brutal.
