The weekend’s Scottish League Two clash between Berwick Rangers and Cowdenbeath at Shielfield Park ended in a 1-0 win for the hosts, with Michael McKenna netting a late penalty.

That spot-kick came about in marvelously bizarre circumstances, after a fantastic bit of pinball in the box followed by a magnificent foul by Jordan Garden on McKenna himself.

With the ball ricocheting around in the box and hitting the woodwork, Garden attempted to halt McKenna by executing a John Terry-style fish dive…

Incredible stuff.

Garden’s challenge may well have ultimately cost his side the game. However, the sheer majesty of the foul deserves our utmost respect!
