After emerging from the bench, it took Robin van Persie roughly 50 seconds to score the first goal of his second stint with Feyenoord, a mere 5,107 days since the last time he found the net for the Dutch club.

Van Persie was making his fourth appearance since re-signing for his boyhood side in January when he came on as a 78th-minute substitute in Thursday night’s match against Groningen.

It then took the 34-year-old less than a minute to get himself off the mark all over again by cutting inside and finding the far corner with a beautifully cultured left-footed strike…

That first touch? Furgedabouddit. Talk about creating your own time and space.

Feyenoord went on to register a comfortable 3-0 win and leapfrog above Zwolle into fourth place in the Eredivisie pile.
