In what might quickly be becoming a ‘thing’, German referee Deniz Aytekin was treated to a complimentary sweet ahead of the Bundesliga clash between Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg on Sunday.

As you may recall, Aytekin thought nothing of helping himself to a lemon bonbon that was thrown onto the pitch during last week’s DfB Pokal tie between Eintracht Frankfurt and Mainz.

Skip forward a few days and Aytekin was once again caught with his fingers in the sweetie bowl after being offered a treat by a fan as he made his way out of the tunnel at the Weserstadion…

Mon dieu, a match official with traces of actual, tangible human personality.

Whatever next?

“Mon dieu, a match official with traces of actual, tangible human personality.” Be afraid, very afraid!

  2. Gökhan Aytekin says:

My Uncle! He’s a bit of rogue if you know what I mean. One time he got Marco Reus to sign an autograph but he thought it was Mario Götze. Silly uncle.

Er ist ein wirklich angenehmer Schwanzgucker!!!!
