Michy Batshuayi scored the fourth and fifth goals of his loan stint with Borussia Dortmund as the German side narrowly pipped Atalanta 3-2 in the first leg of their Europa League last-32 tie on Thursday evening.

Andre Schurrle opened the scoring for Dortmund with 30 minutes played before a lightning double from Josip Ilicic (51′ and 56′) after the break saw Atalanta claw themselves into the lead.

However, said lead lasted less than 10 minutes as Batshuayi duly pocketed the following little ripper to level things up again at 2-2…

And the man deemed not up to snuff by Antonio Conte then went on to seal a come-from-behind victory for Dortmund in the 90th minute, converting yet another assist from the revitalised Mario Goetze…

Batshuayi has hit the ground running at Signal Iduna Park after being bumped from Chelsea on deadline day, scoring five and assisting one of the eight goals Dortmund have scored since his arrival – all in the space of three matches.

In fact, the Belgian is already Dortmund’s fifth-highest goalscorer so far this season and he’s only been at the club for little over a fortnight.

Not a bad return so far.
