Southampton secured a priceless win away to Swansea on Tuesday, a result which all but seals the Saints’ Premier League survival for another season.
As for Swansea, the defeat nudges them perilously close to the trap-door with only one game left to play.
The win for Southampton also saw West Brom go down, despite a sterling effort from Manager of the Month Darren Moore to keep them up.
Darren Moore wins the manager of the month award and gets relegated on the same day. That has to be a first.

The clash at the Liberty Stadium was, unsurprisingly, a tense affair, with few chances at either hand in the first-half.
However, both sides had opportunities to open the scoring after the break, with Jordan Ayew seeing his effort superbly saved by Alex McCarthy.
Saints striker Charlie Austin should have put his side 1-0 up, only to direct his free header straight into the arms of Lukasz Fabianski.
The one and only goal of the game would come on 72 minutes, with sub Marco Gabbiadini firing home after Austin had another effort saved from a corner.
That goal would win the game for Mark Hughes’ side, who go 16th, three points clear of the drop-zone.
As for Carlos Carvalhal and his Swansea side, they stay 18th, three points behind Huddersfield, who have a game in hand.
Instant impact, positive attitude, good press, few decent results, still relegated. Is Carvalhal this season’s Marco Silva?
It’s looking more and more likely by the day.
