Leeds United kicked off life under Marcelo Bielsa (still doesn’t sound right, does it?) with a thoroughly impressive 3-1 over Stoke City in their first game of the Championship season.

The home side looked revitalised, drilled and worryingly coherent as they blitzed their way into an unassailable lead within half-an-hour, with Bielsa’s high-octane perfectionism and influence apparent from the very first minute of the campaign.

After the game, the head coach appeared in front of the Sky Sports cameras to give his first post-match interview.

Despite still being in the very early stages of learning English, the Argentinian was commendably brave enough to give it a shot – with a bit of help from his disconcertingly intimate translator…

Lovely bit of back and forth there, and you’ve got to credit Bielsa for giving it a soild bash in front of a massive live audience. In at the deep end, as they say…

As for his interpreter, a few lessons on personal space need to be learned.
