A solemn, respectful round of applause is most definitely due to Guisborough Town goalkeeper Jordan Nixon, who had the esteemed honour of joining the Grand Royal Antediluvian Masonic Order of the Goalscoring Goalkeepers at the weekend.
Trailing 2-3 at home against Newton Aycliffe in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary round and with mere seconds to spare, Nixon popped up in the opposing six-yard box to slam home a 94th-minute equaliser with what was literally the last kick of the game…

Nixon’s emphatic finish ensures that Guisborough’s FA Cup dream remains intact for at least one more game (a replay on Tuesday night), having previously reached Wembley as FA Vase finalists back in 1980.
Fantastic @EmiratesFACup game today @guistownfc, an incredible 3-3 draw with keeper Jordan Nixon scoring with literally the last kick of the game! Thanks to all the club for such a great afternoon. pic.twitter.com/FPzmuliR46
