You love to see it…

Trump, Cummings, a coronavirus vaccine on the way… And now Scotland have qualified for a major tournament (they’ll play England at Wembley – dentist’s chair, anyone?), for the first time since France ’98! Maybe 2020 is looking up at last.

This is a terrific interview that should move you even if you’re not invested in any way in Scottish football. Often it’s hard to know what winning and losing means to players, as they are so well media-trained these days, but Ryan Christie leaves us in no doubt what a win like this feels like: it feels like the opening chords of My Heart Will Go On, by Celine Dion.

Stirring stuff. Is someone chopping onions in here?
