The F in Feyenoord now stands for Fail…
It’s extremely rare that a team ships double figures in any of Europe’s top leagues, but it happened in Holland on Sunday afternoon:
Dutch leaders PSV Eindhoven inflicted the heaviest ever defeat on former European champions Feyenoord with a 10-0 drubbing at the Philips stadium on Sunday. Brazilian Jonathan Reis hit a hat-trick with Ibrahim Afellay, Ola Toivonen, Jeremain Lens (2), Balazs Dzsudzsak (2) and Orlando Engelaar joining in the rout.

In the visitors’ (slight) defence, they were reduced to 10 men in the first half when midfielder Kelvin Leerdam was sent off.
Feyenoord’s previous worst defeat was an 8-2 loss to Ajax in 1983 – at least they scored a couple of the ten goals on that occasion – this result is simply humiliating for the Rotterdam club.
