Yep, they all belong to Jesus, and no, I won’t make a joke about crosses.
This is the Clericus Cup, an annual football tournament competed for by teams of Catholic priests and seminary students. It began as recently as 2007. This year’s event, which took place in Rome, wrapped up at the end of May. The final was won 1-0 by the Neocatechumenal Way’s Redemptoris Mater seminary (who also won the inaugural event).
RM beat the NAC Martyrs, a team fielded by the U.S. bishops’ seminary in Rome, thanks to a goal from a corner kick.
For more on the Clericus Cup, Globalpost.com has a very interesting photo essay. I also found this video, which is in Italian but, hey, I’m sure some of you speak Italian.
