I’ve always loved Djibril Cisse. He always comes across as a genuine, fun-loving guy, and it’s really too bad that he’s had all the injuries he’s had.

Cisse is a class act, and that seemed like a genuine moment.

    His reason for leaving Panathinaikos:

    1. Racist taunts
    2. Dodgy refs

His supposed destination… Lazio of Italy. None of that sort of stuff going on there.

Moving from one club with horribly racist fans to another club with horribly racist fans. Smart career move Djib.

  8. Pilks says:

Apologies to Panathinaikos fans for that last comment. He was racially abused by Olympiakos fans.

  9. […] REAL MEN CRY IN NIGHTCLUBS, BUT ONLY GREEK ONES. Djibril Cisse’s departure from Panathanaikos wouldn’t be complete without a farewell party at a nightclub where Djibril wells up from the pulsating, rhythmic emotion of it all. // YouTube by way of WAATP […]

  10. Balls-2-U says:

I love Cisse. Wears his heart on his sleeve. Wonder how good he could have really been if not for the leg breaks and all.
