  2. Ubietz888 says:

    Post of the month.

  3. Andrew Thompson says:

would of been nice to actually see the goal they score.

  4. Nick says:

I was waiting for a goal at the end or something to bring up the mood… and this is not what the game is about. Its about women, booze, drugs and how much money you can shove in your pocket every week. Thats why everyone wants to play at Man City.

I kinda dont get it… its nicely shot and we all love a ‘spirit of football triumphs against adversity’ story, but what was the adversity? Are they just really bad at football? Nice kids though and a clearly caring and dedicated coach. Also reassuring to see some spanish (right?) kids cant play like xavi

I’d love for that attitude to be in English youth football. Ive been to watch younger siblings play at that age and parents scream and shout at thier kids and most of them dont look as though they want to be there. To see them all happy at the end of the game even though theyve been thrashed was great, they were happy to just be playing. Perhaps that attitude towards the game from a young age is why they are so successfull at more senior level.

  7. Thomas says:

This story is so heart touching! And I agree with what Nick said. The game just isn’t what it was.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! This is why we all love the game. And @Nick fuck off!

  9. Montesquieu says:

Having coached kids before, I wish all parents were like that. By the end of the season, you get some parents you wish you could knock out. The worst part is, half the time the moms are worse than the dads.

  10. lisa says:

same here, montesquieu…though depends on the culture of the parents. my dads were worse and those children all idolised brazil stars and didnt respect team play. that would change over the season though! (but not for the dads)

its a fine line on teaching the game / and letting them just revel in the joy of it, when you coach littles under 6 years old. joy is more important than skill though! i would only teach positional play and/or passing when they would want it because they were frustrated.

    loved the video, beautiful :)
