Another example of how that heady mix of religion and football can go horribly wrong, a Bosnian Premier League game in Mostar between locals rivals Velez and Zrinjksi ended in rather frightening scenes last week.

Rijad Demic, playing for Velzez, a team from the Muslim side of Mostar, netted the winning goal in extra-time, a strike that the Croat fans of Zrinski didn’t take too kindly too. Cue a ridiculous scenario, with the home fans chasing Velez off the pitch.

What’s even worse is the fact that at least one of the Zrinski players gets involved as well.

At least Clive Allen didn’t chase Arsene Wenger out of White Hart Lane on Sunday.

At 0:29 you can see this idiot Zrinjski player named Mile Pehar trying to push Velez player Tarik something to the ground, so Zrinski supporters can beat him literally to death. AND THIS IDIOT WAS PART OF BOSNIA U21 NATIONAL TEAM TILL NOW. Quoting Drogba, it’s a Fu*ing disgrace.

Than UEFA will say that English fans are still the worst on the continent.

Sadness….utter sadness to see these things exist…..

With Mostar being so ethnically and religiously divided, it’s unsurprising that these occurances happen in such a lighly secured match.
