Even for experienced Harry Redknapp watchers, 8th June 2015 was a vintage day.
First, yer actual Redknapp – for it was he as it was written in the prophecy – went and opened a Twitter account…

Not quite so momentous an event, until you consider what our Harry said back in 2012 when he was being asked some questions about his tax affairs.
“I have a big problem, I can’t write so I don’t keep anything,” he told Southwark Crown Court.
“I can’t work a computer, I don’t know what an email is, I can’t, I have never sent a fax and I’ve never even sent a text message.”
So how heart-warming it is to see, just two years later, that The Greatest Manager England Never Had (Apart From Brian Clough)™ has got to grips with the whole intertubes web.com computing shebang and signed up to Twitter.

This coming just three months since he told us “I don’t know what Twitter is. I don’t want to know. It doesn’t interest me one little bit”, of course.
Far from being a komputer klutz, it seems Redknapp is quite the master of the modern multi-platform multimedia strategy.
This is evidenced by the fact that the Tweet above links to an article published by the man himself on website Kicca.com in which Redknapp says he’d love to see his old mucker Rio Ferdinand take over as manager of West Ham United.
“I’d go with him as Director of Football – that would be a good partnership,” says Harry,
Over at Twitter HQ, that’s probably raised some issues with the people who give out the blue tick that authenticates users as the real deal – largely because the Harry Redknapp who said he’d love to be director of football at West Ham is surely not the same Harry Redknapp who said, only last November, that directors of football were “a joke”, and that the post “totally undermines your role as a manager”.
