Marko Arnautovic continued his good run of form for West Ham on Boxing Day, with the Austrian netting a brace in a cracking, and controversial, 3-3 draw away to Bournemouth
However, despite making a name for himself under David Moyes, it seems that some of the Hammers’ backroom staff remain rather unfamiliar with the Austrian hitman, sending him out onto the pitch with the misspelled ‘Arnoutovic” on the back of his shirt.
Unless this was some kind of in-joke, it’s quite a whopper of a mistake.
The game itself was an incredible affair, with Cherries’ ‘keeper handing Arnautovic his first of the game on a plate, after a slip on the wet surface.
The match would end in bizarre circumstances, with ref Bobby Madley overturning his linesman’s offside decision to allow Callum Wilson’s last-gasp equaliser, despite the Bournemouth man diverting the ball in with his arm from a clearly offside position.
A game packed full of howlers!
