After falling behind to a Ryan Babel goal inside the first three minutes, West Ham equalised against Fulham on the half-an-hour mark through Javier Hernandez.

Chicharito’s goal was his 50th in the Premier League – the first Mexican player to achieve such a feat – and, alas, also a massively blatant hand-ball –

Indeed, the Hammers striker did his best to disguise the fact, but replays clearly showed that he slapped the ball over the line at the far post…

As it happens, VAR wasn’t on hand (ahem) to chalk Hernandez’s devious effort off, so the goal was allowed to stand, the cheating little sod.

West Ham are currently 2-1 up at half-time after Issa Diop added a second for the hosts five minutes before the break.

I’m a Fulham fan but I still think VAR can go to hell. Imagine a future where we don’t get any of this drama and heartbreak and controversy; instead we just get to watch a balding man holding his finger to his ear for 4 minutes. I’d rather see teams getting fired up by that kind of injustice and using it to fight back.

Exactly, fans just want to have someone to hate, and to argue with, and it’s easier to be the ref, instead of having to admit their team is shit. But don’t worry, controversial decisions will still happen, so you can still shout about match fixing.
