Following in the illustrious footsteps of Shakira, Anastacia and Pitbull, it’s been announced that Jason Derulo has been entrusted with singing the official anthem for the 2018 World Cup.

For the uninitiated, Derulo is the man behind such songs as ‘Swalla’, ‘Wiggle’, ‘Tip Toe’, ‘Bubblegum’, ‘Trumpets’ and ‘Zipper’.

Anyway, the 2018 World Cup song is called ‘Colors’ and without even listening to it we can confirm it’s a banal paean to inclusiveness, global coming-together and superficial sporting positivity.

It’s just about audible in this here teaser video…

Instantly forgettable, sub-Waka Waka fare.

‘Colors’ is scheduled to be released on 16th March.
