Spare a though for Gareth Southgate’s predecessor, Sam Allardyce.

As England’s current boss was overseeing a thumping record win against Panama in Nizhny Novgorod, the man he replaced at the helm was watching the game in a pub, with only a Big Mac for company…

A penny for your thoughts, Big Sam?

Although to be fair to Allardyce, he does have a 100% win rate with the Three Lions (one game, one victory over Slovakia), unlike Southgate!

Let’s be honest here – Panama are a pub team. Whilst Big Sam might not have made England look as classy as Southgate did today, he still would have seen them giving a shoeing, were he still at the helm.

You fell for it as well….it was an advertising stunt for William Hill

  3. Straight Dave says:

If i’m not mistaken Big Sam is Southgate’s predecessor, not his successor..
