“It’s a f**king disgrace.”

Breaking news indeed (ho ho): reports claims Ivory Coast spearhead Didier Drogba fractured his right elbow in their recent friendly against Japan. if confirmed, the injury means he will miss the whole World Cup and possibly the start of the Premier League season.

It’s the worst possible news for the Ivorians, but quite the opposite for group rivals Brazil, Portugal and North Korea. As has been pointed out already, the Group of Death is suddenly a little less frightening.

First Rio, now the big Drog. Dropping like flies.

More details on both injuries when they drop.

  1. […] At the start of the video you see Japan defender Marcus Tulio Tanaka collide with Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba. This is the tackle that is set to keep Drogba out of the World Cup. […]

  2. Ruperto says:

yes thank you Marcus Tulio i hate drogba and i am so glad he is out

  3. Fritz says:

After the ‘Chelsea-Curse’ hits the fifth player Lampard, Terry, Anelka, Kalou and all the others should have it pretty cushy.

  4. akshay says:

drogba is one of the best players in the world. Moreover he’s a philantrophist as well. Tullio had been tackled earlier in the match by him, so it was probably payback. If you say you hate him, in truth your scared of the competition increasing.

    hope he gets better…
