tevez_carlos_whfc_profile_2006.jpgThis one’s pretty simple. If West Ham lose, they’re down (not mathematically, but there’s no way I can see them escaping); if Chelsea lose, Man Utd win the title (see above). In other words, it’s a crucial game, or, if you like cliches, a massive six-pointer. West Ham boss Eggert Magnusson has drafted in world-famous tenor Gardar Thor Cortes to get the crowd going before kick-off. Cortes will treat the fans to a highbrow version of I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles, plus his latest single. Hmm, I don’t think West Ham fans will have any trouble getting up for tonight’s game. I’m sure they will have a very warm welcome planned for old boys Joe Cole and Frank Lampard too.
As for a prediction, I just can’t see Chelsea not winning at Upton Park. They’re in the zone at the moment and will surely be too powerful for West Ham’s collection of overpaid underperformers. Prediction: 1-2
