Standing joke Stan Collymore has announced he is ready for a return to Premiership football. Whether the Premiership is quite ready for Stan Collymore remains to be seen. I can’t imagine too many managers or chairmen being eager to take a gamble on a 35-year-old who hasn’t played for five years.

Stan has been on the sell though. "I went to the World Cup as a punter. I didn’t see any players that made me think ‘I can’t do that’. It might sound big-headed but I still believe that I am the best," he said. Here is a reminder of what Stan was capable of in his heyday.
