During Sweden’s training session yesterday, Daniel Majstorovic (who had only just returned to the fold after fracturing a cheekbone) suffered an injury that has prematurely ended his season and sadly also ended his hopes of playing at Euro 2012 this summer – in fact, the 34-year old Celtic centre-half has it all on to be fit and ready for the start of next season.
The incident that resulted in the injury was a bizarre fluke, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic Hadoukening Anders Svensson through the air with a meaty shoulder shunt which saw Svensson eventually landing on Majstorovic’s planted leg – leaving the latter with a ruptured cruciate ligament in his left knee…
Ouch.
Is there ever a day goes by where Zlatan doesn’t exact his almighty revenge on someone or something? Word is, the day before he nailed a pot plant in the Croatia Soccer School foyer with a vicious axe kick just for ‘stealing too much of his Carbon Dioxide’. The man’s a liability.
